Reala (pronounced Ree-ah-lah) is a first-level Nightmaren and one of the primary antagonists of the NiGHTS series. Created to be Wizeman's right hand along with NiGHTS, Reala is obedient towards his/her creator and leads the Nightmaren army. Reala and NiGHTS are suggested as siblings, as both are equally skilled in flying and acrobatics. In contrast to NiGHTS' kind and loyal personality, Reala is cruel and insidious. Due to their equal skills and opposing personalities, NiGHTS and Reala are strong rivals.
Physical Appearance[]
Reala's two primary colours are Red and Black, (s)he wears a special kind of Mask called a Persona which is a symbol of loyalty to Wizeman.

Sonic Adventure[]
In Sonic Adventure Reala appears in the NiGHTS poker pinball machine in Casinopolis as one of the cards.
Sonic Pinball Party[]
In Sonic Pinball Party, though Reala never actually appears in person, his/her name can be seen in the character tournament as (s)he competes in the EGG cup, facing off against Shadow and losing to him. His/Her theme song is used for the nightmaren boss battles on the NiGHTS board which Reala appears in as the final Nightmaren.
Sonic Shuffle[]
In Sonic Shuffle, when the date on the Dreamcast is set to April 1, Reala will make a cameo appearance, replacing Lumina as the guide, although the voice will still be Lumina's. Similarly, NiGHTS replaces Lumina when the date is set to December 24.
Sonic Adventure 2/Battle[]
In Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, if the player raises a Dark Chao with a high fly stat, a Chao that resembles Reala may be created.
Sega Superstars Tennis[]
In Sega Superstars Tennis, Reala is an unlockable and playable character representing the NiGHTS series, along with NiGHTS him/herself.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed[]
Reala returns in Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed, the sequel to Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, alongside NiGHTS. Reala races with himself as the vehicle while a Goodles Nightmaren drives him. In All Star mode, the Goodles disappears and Reala transforms back into his regular form, throwing Mare Balloons at the other racers.
Sonic Lost World[]
In Sonic Lost World, Reala appears in the Nightmare Zone bonus stage alongside the other bosses from the original NiGHTS game. Unlike the rest of the bosses, Sonic never confronts Reala directly. Instead Reala traps Sonic in various nightmares through paraloop portals. After the rest of the bosses are defeated, NiGHTS appears and paraloops Reala, freeing Sonic from Wizeman's nightmare.
